Galkgrokst Firearms
The first galkgrokst firearms were developed a little over 900 years ago by the engineer-philosopher Krashee Palkst Dzal. His patron, the Empress of the Unalloyed Will, commissioned him to create a more powerful version of the hurled bombs in use at the time. In his typical fashion, Krashee Palkst Dzal instead delivered an entirely new weapon system. He adapted existing grenades into conical projectiles filled with explosives. The projectiles were fired from rifled tubes, propelled by pre-measured explosive charges. These early weapons, though large and primitive by today's standards, led to tremendous changes in the natu
The Kalkuhkalk
The dominant order of life on the galkgrokst homeworld evolved from something not unlike our sea urchins: a central oblate body, protected by a bone-like shell, housing the major organs, with between three and five specialized tentacle-like limbs with their own independent nervous systems which do not really coordinate with the central body or each other. In most cases, one of these limbs has become specialized for eating and sensing, one for reproduction, and the others for locomotion. Land-dwelling members of this group have almost universally developed internal bone-like structures in those limbs used for locomotion.

If you don't mind me asking, but what was the inspiration for the Galkrokst? I've been trying to come up with a non humanoid alien species myself and was wondering what was just your train of thought when you came up with them?
Hey, Kalgrost, have you though about posting and working your stuff in Speculative Evolution forums? It would be nice to you to come back, and post your works not only here, but in the forum too. s1.zetaboards.com/Conceptual_E…
